The Last Word with the Committee of Seventy

C70’s mayoral forum will be at the NLM this Thursday and will give voters a chance to zoom out and focus on the big issues two weeks before the election.
This moderated event with explore a variety of questions with the candidates, such as: How will candidates honor core principles essential to our democracy? How will they be the city’s advocate? What are their specific plans to address Philadelphians’ biggest concerns? What is their bold, long-term vision for the city?
The event will be held on May 4th from 7:00pm-8:30pm.
Doors open at 6:30 pm.
This forum is part of the Every Voice, Every Vote project from the Lenfest Institute, William Penn Foundation, and the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation,among others. It’s a citywide coalition of Philadelphia news and community organizations committed to informing Philadelphians and ensuring their voices and interests are central to the 2023 campaigns for mayor and city council. The coalition is the largest collaborative journalism and community engagement effort ever launched for election coverage in Philadelphia.
